Delete your stack account
stack is built by ThinkSwift Pty Ltd in Australia. This page describes how to permanently delete your stack account and what we do with your data afterwards.
From inside the app (preferred)
- Open stack on iOS, Android, or the web at app.stackos.com.au.
- Sign in.
- Go to Settings → Profile.
- Scroll to the Danger zone at the bottom of the page.
- Tap Delete account.
- Type your email address in the confirmation box and tap Permanently delete my account.
Deletion is immediate. You will receive a confirmation email and be signed out on every device.
If you cannot access the app
Email hello@thinkswift.au from the email address on your stack account with the subject "Account deletion request".
We will verify the request and complete the deletion within 7 business days. We may ask one follow-up question to confirm identity if the request looks unusual (e.g. emailed from a different address than the account).
What happens to your data
When your account is deleted, the following happens immediately:
- Your sign-in is removed. You cannot log back in with the same email and password.
- Your personal profile is deleted. Name, avatar, phone number, and timezone are permanently removed from our servers.
- Your active subscription is cancelled. You will not be charged again. We do not refund the unused remainder of the current billing period.
- Your workspace is closed. It is hidden from all stack users — yourself, your teammates, and the ThinkSwift team — immediately.
The following is retained:
- Workspace content (emails, calendar events, tasks, contacts, files, AI conversation history) is retained for approximately seven years to satisfy Australian business-record retention obligations under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) and the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997 (Cth). It is encrypted at rest, inaccessible to any stack user, and permanently destroyed after the retention period elapses.
- An audit record of the deletion request itself (timestamp, email at time of deletion, workspace identifier). Required for App Store and Play Store compliance and to defend against fraudulent "I didn't delete this" claims. Contains no workspace content.
- Billing records (invoices, payment receipts) are retained by our payment processor (Stripe) for the period required by Australian tax law.
Recovering a deleted account
If you change your mind within 7 days of deletion, email hello@thinkswift.au from the same address. We can restore the workspace and reactivate your sign-in. After 7 days the auth credentials are gone and we cannot restore them — though you can sign up again with the same email and start a fresh workspace.
